As a Software QA Engineer at Launchpad, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, select, and automate test cases, create and execute test plans, and manage the defect management process. Your expertise in automation tools and methodologies will be vital in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in software development and automation testing.
• Test Case Automation: Identifying and selecting the automation test cases.
• Test Strategy Documentation: Applying various designs and documenting the automation test strategy.
• Test Plan Creation: Creating an automation test plan and obtaining approval.
• Selenium Configuration: Configuring Selenium Test Environment (STE) to set it up.
• Selenium Setup: Participating in Selenium Environment Setup with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
• Programming Skills: Hands-on experience in Python (NUMPY, PANDAS) and Java.
• Framework Automation: Automating the design of a framework and implementing it according to the project structure.
• Test Case Management: Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running test cases.
• Defect Management: Collating and monitoring the defect management process.
• Regression Testing: Managing changes and executing regression tests.
• Problem Solving: Developing exact solutions for problems related to object identity and error handling.
• Client Interaction: Interacting with customers/clients to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Coaching: Coaching and training manual testers to become automation testers.
• Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile software development methodology and the ability to act as a Scrum Master when needed.
• Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills to showcase the product demo to a wider audience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software QA, particularly in automation testing.
• Strong understanding of automation testing tools, particularly Selenium.
• Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience in NUMPY and PANDAS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of defect management and regression testing.
• Experience in coaching and training team members.
