Finding Comfort in Change
Liminal Wellbeing was created with the vision to help young people find comfort in change. It is the brainchild of founder Will Hams, an ex Australian Rules Football player who spent time as a mental health advocate running workshops nationwide.
The Liminal Wellbeing team identified the growing issues faced by young people and set out to help equip them with a wellbeing toolkit to manage and thrive in an increasingly complex world.
The Challenge
Since the platform would predominantly be used in schools by both students and staff, it had to be a relatable and simple to use to cover a wide range of ages and levels of technical literary.
Importantly the interactions needed to demonstrate and create trust with users so that they would be comfortable to share their sensitive data and honest feelings.
The Liminal Platform
The Liminal Wellbeing platform is centered around a daily check-in system on the Liminal mobile apps that tracks students wellbeing. This data is fed through to the school staff and Liminal Wellbeing team via a web portal.
With the support of machine learning, predictions are able to identify at risk children and over time prompts early intervention strategies.
Daily Check-Ins
An easy to use 5 point scale allows students to conveniently record how they are doing each day.
Insights and Resources
A learning library and resources are available for students to self-serve and find the information they need.
Journal
A safe space to record feelings and thoughts in the app. Expressing these emotions is a healthy habit.
In Person Support
When further help and support is needed, itâs only a tap away. Students can request to directly connect with their schools counselling resources which are integrated seamlessly with the Liminal system.
